The BMW X5 xDrive45e plug-in hybrid is now on sale on the local market in Malaysia. To support the new model and accommodate the current pandemic circumstances we’re facing right now, the local BMW branch chose to create a virtual tour that would allow considered customers to feel the car via Augmented Reality. Opened today as a world debut, the new highlight allows users to see, hear, and experience the new car in all its fame.

With digitalization occurring at the strategic core of the BMW Group and soon in the new normal, the corporation is now innovating to provide better experiences for customers. The AR activity by BMW Malaysia enables users to see, hear, and encounter ‘The Boss’. As it is web-based, there is no need for a special mobile application.  Clients only need to visit a dedicated link that is available on any smartphone or tablet device with Android 9 or iOS 8 operating systems to start the AR experience. It is not available with desktop PC applications.

The most useful part about it all is that you don’t need to install a dedicated app to do so. We’ve observed such Augmented Reality appearances before but you had to install various applications on your phone to be able to reach the innovative specialty. Not here. Considered customers need to only visit a dedicated link that is available on any smartphone, to begin the adventure. The AR activity presents a virtually true-to-life 3D model of the New BMW X5 xDrive45e M that users can tap to set in any place seen via their camera.

Users can also swipe to see its different exterior color choices such as the Phytonic Blue, Black Sapphire, Mineral White, and Arctic Grey.
