Car enthusiasts see the Autobahn almost like a highway to freedom and it’s the land where all the beast roam and ride freely without concern as well as this Alpina B5 that is going full-throttle on the famous freeway Autobahn. The cars you will see on this road are more than you can expect. Everything from hypercars to high-horsepower sleeper beasts that you won’t expect to get wrecked by in a quarter-mile.

The special thing about these streets, the Autobahns, is the pure fact that there’s no speed limit and you can drive your car at the fullest experience it was made for, and the fact that there are getting fewer and fewer Autobahns every year makes them even more special.

The iconic Nurburgring was also in trouble not too long ago, things not looking better to this day as the legislation in Germany is getting stricter from a day to another.

The video below shows a beast looking like it’s taken right out a racing ad and in the footage, you can see what an Alpina B5 is really capable of, it is the more luxurious alternative for the F90 M5 that also comes in Touring guise.

Sedan or Touring, either way, the B5 is an absolute beast fully capable to take on any Autobahn straight forward, packing a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 from the famous M550i and thanks to Alpina’s careful engineers it pushes out a whopping 608 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, making it the fastest Touring model in the world.

The video is not about the top speed of the car but more about the short amount of time the car takes to reach such speeds.

Unless you live in Germany you won’t be able to enjoy such a car to the fullest, in Europe the maximum limit being around 130 km/h and in the US 65 MPH and in some areas 75 MPH but not more than that.

The sensations a car like this can give you are unreal and the speeds it can reach in such a fast time are incredible, but nonetheless this is what Alpina is capable of and this is what they have always done their modified cars, even the older models pushing out incredible amounts of power.

Being able to drive at insane speeds and not get pulled over must be a huge advantage for the German drivers.
