BMW Motorsport will not replace the M6 GT3 until the 2022 racing season, but the new M4 GT3 is now out on the streets stacking up development miles. Originally taunted at the finish of 2019, the track-only M4 Coupe is being produced alongside the road car and will share the framework and S58 six-cylinder engine which is believed to top up higher than 500 horsepower.
The BMW M4 GT3 rollout regarded an outstanding milestone in the improvement of the new racing car for the GT championship. After months of pragmatic work, BMW works driver Augusto Farfus (BRA) announced the next phase of developments, taking the new car out onto the roads for the first time.
Farfus came out of that garage at the wheel of the BMW M4 GT3 for the first time and set about finishing the first significant function tests. The BMW Motorsport engineers spent the entire day putting the new GT car, which will substitute the BMW M6 GT3 from the 2022 season, throughout its paces.
The primary tests are programmed to take place on the track at the BMW Group’s analysis center in the southern French neighborhood of Miramas next week.
The race car and M4 production car were produced in parallel, and both are now in the middle of an intense period of testing out on the track. The BMW M4 GT3 will strike its first races, for the goal of testing under competing conditions in 2021.
