This fall, the latest new beast will deliver to the market 306 horsepower from a four-cylinder turbocharged engine coupled with all-wheel drive stock. The brand new MINI Countryman JCW will also carry a changed design, polished equipment, and extra options.
Speaking of exterior upgrades the new Mini Cooper Countryman comes equipped with a redesigned radiator grille. The old LED headlights and the rear lights have been refined as well. At the front, the lighting technology is now way more standing out, while at the rear the Union Jack light design is recognizable day and night.
The Adaptive LED headlamps with shifting light distribution and matrix function for the high beam lights are an available option. The outer colors Sage Green metallic, White Silver metallic as well as the option Piano Black Exterior are brand new.
Moreover, the headlamp circles, rear lights, and radiator grille are finished in gloss black instead of the usual chrome, as well as the door handles and the lettering on the trunk lid.
The interior isn’t left behind either featuring new tech. The display behind the steering wheel with a diameter measuring about 5.0 inches is one of the new optional equipment components. The optional Connected Media equipment in the new MINI also incorporates an 8.8-inch color touchscreen display. In its newest version, it has a bezel and touch-sensitive control panels covered in the new Piano Black color.
Thanks to a SIM card connected as standard, the new MINI is “always online”. This allows the use of various digital services. The MINI Navigation Plus option also grants real-time traffic data, the Apple CarPlay, MINI Online Internet Portal, and the seamless synthesis of the Amazon Alexa voice assistant amongst all the other functions.
Suspension and chassis have been refined coming up to the chassis featuring suspension and damping innovations engineered by the racing experts engineers, DSC, and electromechanical steering. The differential lock on the front wheels is blended into the 8-speed Steptronic transmission.
As an option, the new MINI can be provided with an adaptive chassis. Its standard kit includes a sports brake system with 4-piston fixed caliper disc brakes on the front wheels alongside a single-piston floating-caliper disc brakes on the rear.
There are as well 18-inch light-alloy wheels with brake calipers designed in Chili Red. A model-specific sports exhaust system appears with the new sporty Countryman. The tailpipes with an enlarged width of 95 mm are real eye-catchers as well.
